NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Dansereau Meadows Phase 10 Redistricting
BYLAW NUMBER 934-19


The Council of the City of Beaumont is holding a Public Hearing for Bylaw 934-19 – Dansereau Meadows Phase 10 Redistricting. The Public Hearing will be held Tuesday, February 12, 2019 at 7:00 p.m., in the Council Chambers of the Beaumont’s Administration Office located at 5600 - 49 Street, Beaumont AB.

The Land Use Bylaw controls the use and development of land and buildings in Beaumont. The purpose of the proposed Bylaw 934-19 is to redistrict a portion of NW 1/4 Sec. 34-50-24-W4M within the Dansereau Meadows Neighbourhood as shown on the Map. The subject land is located south of Township Road 510, and east of Range Road 243. The subject land is currently districted as AR-Agriculture Reserve District. The application introduces two new direct control districts:

1. DC-120 Dansereau Meadows Small Lot District: to provide for smaller single detached housing product with smaller side yards and lot depths

2. DC-121 Dansereau Meadows Medium Density District: to provide for multi-attached townhomes with smaller side yards

Procedure at the Public Hearing:

  1. Presentation of the purpose and effect of the proposed Bylaw amendment.

  2. Council will hear:

  3. any person or group of persons acting on his or their behalf who claim to be affected by the proposed Bylaw;

  4. any other person who wishes to make a presentation and whom the Council agrees to hear.

    All written submissions received by the Supervisor, Legislative Services of the Beaumont on or before noon on February 12, 2019 will be recognized prior to any oral submissions.
