City of Beaumont Child Care Services Safety Guidelines
Due to the risk of COVID-19, the City of Beaumont Child Care Services have implemented the following safety protocols to protect the children, their parents/guardians, and our staff at both the ELCC and SAS programs:
Daily screening: All staff will complete a daily screening form prior to coming to work to ensure:
They exhibit no symptoms whatsoever of COVID-19 including:
-Temperature of greater than 38 degrees C -Chronic cough -Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing -Sore throat -Nasal congestion or runny nose -Headaches, and/or muscle/joint aches -Unexplained fatigue or severe exhaustion -Nausea, vomiting or diarrhea -Unexplained loss of appetite, loss of sense of smell or taste -Conjunctivitis -General unwellness
They have not travelled or been exposed to a recent traveller
They are not in close contact with anyone displaying COVID-19 symptoms, or a confirmed case.
Any staff members who do not meet the daily screening requirements will not be allowed to come to work and will follow AHS testing and isolation guidelines.

Early Learning Child Care Centre (ELCC)
The child care centre is licensed for children ages: infant to 5 years old, including kindergarten.

The program consists of 78 quality early learning child care spaces. The child care centre became accredited in 2006 and re-accredited in 2009, 2012 and 2015 respectively. School Age Site (SAS)
The site is licensed for children attending grade one to 12 years of age, located beside École Beau Meadow at:

Beaumont, AB T4X1K3
The program consists of 60 out of school care quality spaces. The program has been accredited since February of 2012 and re-accredited in 2015. Bussing is provided at an additional cost. Read the School Age Site Parent Handbook (PDF).
The Child Care Subsidy Program is a provincial program and administered by Alberta Children and Youth Services. The Town of Beaumont acts as third party liaison and can provide some assistance at the time of enrollment. Families can apply for subsidy once they are accepted and enrolled into a quality child care program. Please note further program details and guidelines are available on the Government of Alberta Children and Youth Services website.
