SUMMARY:Grief\, Loss and Healing Support Group Program
DESCRIPTION:Join this FREE 5-session online Mental Wellness Support Program (Grief\, Loss and Healing)– Monday evenings\, at 6:30 pm (MST) – from April 6 to May 4 inclusive. \nQuite often\, the process of navigating our grief can feel impossible. The loss we feel whenever we experience the unwanted ending of a relationship/connection that mattered greatly to us (through death\, divorce\, job loss\, a move\, or a shift in our core identify\, for example) can be imposing\, intense and overwhelming. We sometimes feel stuck – like we are drowning in the pain and anger and depression and helplessness that we are feeling. But\, there is hope. There are ways in which we can manage and cope that allow us to recognize the normalcy of what we are experiencing and to allow our grief the support that it needs and deserves. \nThis support program\, offered virtually\, through Zoom\, is facilitated by Kim Silverthorn BA\, RPC\, MPCC\, CT of Tacit Knowledge – and is offered in partnership with Beaumont FCSS. Kim has over 30 years of experience as a therapist\, and often works with families/agencies who are trying to\neffectively address the stress that exists in their lives. \nThis program is available to EVERYONE – you do NOT need to be a Beaumont resident to attend. Participants are welcome to attend all or just some of the sessions\, as they are able (different themes will be discussed each night\, so you do NOT have to\nattend every evening to get something helpful out of the experience). \nPlease contact Beaumont FCSS (phone 780-929-1006 or email fcss@beaumont.ab.ca) to register and to access the Zoom link.

Held on Saturday nights from 5 to 8 pm\, you can expect a games\, prizes\, a free pizza supper\, guest presentations on various agricultural topics and brainstorming for our new programming! We will also be doing a walking tour around our 71 acre property\, so come prepared to explore! All are welcome to attend\, we hope to see you there! \nRegister online to attend >> \nThanks to a generous grant from the Canada Post Community Foundation\, BADAS is able to start up youth programming\, mainly a Youth Market Farm and a Youth Club with an executive committee. Youth participating in the Market Farm will get entrepreneurial experience as they work together to grow their own garden\, and then sell it for profit! Youth on the Youth Club Executive Committee will get to work together to form a club\, and plan events and promote agriculture with the youth of Beaumont and the surrounding region. Both will be supported by BADAS staff and volunteers.
