Nomination papers for Mayor and Councillor positions can be submitted to Elections Beaumont during the nomination period.
Nomination papers for School Board Trustees (public and separate) can be submitted to the individual school boards during the nomination period.
The nomination period is January 1 to 12:00 noon on September 20, 2021 (appointments available from January 4, 2021 onwards).
All candidates must provide Form 4, Form 5 and the Candidate Information Disclosure Form completed in full.
The Local Authorities Election Act (LAEA) governs elections for Alberta's local jurisdictions, including Beaumont City Council, the Black Gold School Division and St. Thomas Aquinas Roman Catholic School. All candidates should check the LAEA for complete details on the nomination process.

Candidates attending City Hall for a nomination submission appointment must be symptom-free. A health questionnaire will be conducted prior to entering the building. As per Temporary Face Coverings Bylaw, a face covering must be worn unless an exception is present under Section 5 of the bylaw.
