What is the Land Use Bylaw (LUB)?

The LUB is a statutory document which provides the Town with a tool to regulate and control the use and development of land and buildings in the community. This Bylaw affects every landowner in the Town of Beaumont.

The LUB divides the municipality into specific districts that dictate what uses are permitted and/or discretionary, contains details on how to make applications for development permits; how and by whom decisions on applications are made; and the conditions that can be attached. The LUB also contains regulations regarding setbacks, landscaping, parking, building heights, and signage to name a few.

How can I learn more and provide feedback?

It is extremely important that we hear from you on any concerns, issues or comments you may have regarding the current regulations or any proposed changes to the LUB. We will be hosting a variety of engagement events during the first half of 2018. Information on these events will be published in the Beaumont News and on the Town’s social media sites.
