The 50 Street Improvement Project is well underway with substantial progress being made along the entire corridor.

Construction activities currently underway include:
The water main will be replaced during May. Two-way traffic will be maintained; however there may be short delays.
Road construction will start at the beginning of June. At that time, a detour route will be in effect. The detour route will be clearly marked. Access to local businesses will be maintained.
Detailed renderings of the Centre-ville improvements are below. The area will be revitalized with improved lighting, new trees, sidewalks, benches, metalwork and traffic-calming strategies to attract people to Centre-ville.

Why we are replacing the trees
The road will be widened on the west side. Final paving, landscaping and multi-way trails will be completed in 2013.
