Waste Cart Information

- any household items that aren’t organics or can’t be recycled.

The items that go into the grey waste cart include – any household items that aren’t organic or can’t be recycled.

Bag your waste

Please put your waste in a bag, and then put the bag in your waste cart. Your cart will not be emptied if waste is loose in the cart.

Close the lid!

Make sure the lids are closed tight on your carts. This is to prevent litter and odours. If the lids are open, the carts may not be emptied.

 Facts about your carts

  • The carts and kitchen catcher are the property of Evergreen Ecological Services. They stay with the home where they are delivered and should never leave that address.
  • Carts should not be modified in any way, including adding a lock.
  • Replace damaged or stolen carts by calling 780-929-4306.
  • The carts can hold the equivalent of 3-4 big bags of material.

Glass

Glass items (such as jars and sauce bottles) currently cannot be recycled and therefore are considered waste. Glass drinking containers (pop, juice or beer bottles) can be returned to the bottle depot for a small refund.
