The Town of Beaumont Child Care Services provides early learning resources and support to children, families, staff and community through the understanding of Best Practice.
In addition to the Advisory Committee, the Town of Beaumont administration has been busy with additional changes and efficiencies for the child care program, the following items are highlighted to keep you up to date on our progress;
• Effective August 1, 2010 the ELCC will be closing at 5:30pm and the SAS will remain open until 6pm
• Implementation of two part time schedule options for new enrollments at the ELCC (Tuesday/Thursday or Monday/Wednesday/Friday)
• SAS to improve scheduling and to eliminate space conflicts by moving to a single fee.
• A market equalization increase will be submitted for the 2011 budget.
• Establishing a Child Care Advisory committee to liaison with Council on matters pertaining to child care within the community effective September, 2010.
The Centre is licensed for ages: infant up until the child begins grade one, located beside Ecole JE Lapointe at 4901 55 Ave. The program consists of 78 quality early learning and care spaces. The program became accredited in 2006, re-accredited in 2009 and in the process of re-accreditation again for 2012.
Early Learning Child Care Centre Parent Handbook
The site is licensed for children attending grade one to 12 years of age, located beside Ecole Beau Meadow at 4306 44 St. The program consists of 60 out of school care quality spaces. The program has been accredited since February of 2012. Bus transportation from the program to and from the schools is available.

SUBSIDY
The Child Care Subsidy Program is a provincial program and administered by Alberta Children and Youth Services. The Town of Beaumont acts as third party liaison and can provide some assistance at the time of enrollment. Families can apply for subsidy once they are accepted and enrolled into a quality child care program. Please note further program details and guidelines are available on the Government of Alberta Children and Youth Services website.
